    Hi Bernard,

    Below mail copy which i sent to P1 Customer Services. They already called me yesterday afternoon to close the issue & consider for giving me some rebate. Would like you to help to check when my internet coverage can presume as normal. can’t even access internet last nite. FYI, now my signal strength is only 2-3 bars with speed between 0.1kbps to 20kbps which is very dissapointing. Can’t even open P1 wimax webpage to check my internet speed.
    Have gone to Penang wimax office near queensbay to terminate account but wan inform that i will be penalise MYR1k if decide to do so. But now i’m paying MYR69/ montyhly for nothing or 10% usage.
    Pls help.

    Hi Hermi,

    1. I have tried all P1 standard procedure as you mention below (step 1 & 2) many times & infact during conversation with P1 customer services. The results is still the same, wiggy connection manager only show 1 or 2 bars with on & off connection – speed 0.3kbps to 50kbps only.
    2. I cannot access http://speed.p1.com.my/ to give the speed test to you as the connection level at my area is very low – sometimes 0.3kbps & the highest is below 50 kbps which i think streamyx is much better. But when i go to other areas (such as Bukit Minyak, Penang), connection is excellant.
    FYI, this problem happen since last Thursday (19th Nov 09), before that speed is only between 100kbps to 300kbps (still below satisfation).
    Reason by P1 cs is wimax is doing some maintenance at Penang area & user need to be patience. And now they told me that Bandar Perda base station is still under maintenance & i need to re-direct my wiggy modem to find other area (Jalan Tenggiri Base Station), done that but sometimes fail & sometimes with very low speed connection.
    It’s already 5 days now, pls consider to seriously look into this matter – If you look at my account, you can see that almost every month i need to call P1 for complaint.
    From my point of view, it’s either P1 gave me rebate for bad connection or return my deposit for termination.

    1. Please try switching USB ports to verify if it could an issue with the USB ports.

    2. Additionally, please try uninstalling the driver, restarting your laptop without the modem plugged in and install it again.

    1. General Enquiry/Feedback: I’m a user of Wiggy 69 & have been facing lots of problems with P1 wimax services. Recently (sinca last Thurs till now), my conn is very weak. Called P1 SC & got report id 341258 &340295. Reason: Need to wait till new base at Bandar Perda (N0053) full operate as my area was under that base station. Previously its ok till they change my area conn base. So…i hope P1 can consider rebate to me as i’m out of area conn now. Speed only below 10kbps. Is it fair to me to pay full?? Call me…

    Hi Amir,

    Bernard is no longer with us. Before you cancel the subscription, let me try to help to resolve your problems.
    There are mostly like 2 causes to your problem.
    1. If you have skype installed on your PC, there is an add-on automatically installed by SKYPE to your browser. What you need to do is to disable SKYPE add-on in your browser.
    Here are 2 articles to help you disable your add-on.

    2. If you have used other broadband previously, you need to remove their pre-installed DSN address and set it “Obtain DNS server address automatically.”

    Please try those solutions, and let me know whether they can resolve your problem. We really hate to hear a customer terminate wimax because of some setting in their PC.

    May I know does skype work well with P1 wimax connection? I am dependent on skype for overseas calls thus would only consider your internet service if the speed is good enough for skype.
