Is the wimax device can supprt multi-user? It work as router?
Please advice if i can get the WiMAX reseller pricing. Email me. Thank you.
about 1 year ago
wimax modem itself cannot support multiusers, but you can get yourself a wifi router (any kind and only wifi router not wifi modem) to share among users.

When P1 wimax available in Jalan Bukit Kecil, Taman Bukit, Bukit Mertajam?
about 12 months ago
May I know what is the different within P1 wimax Wiggy and P1 Wimax Desktop? Which one is better and stable? What is the minimum download speed? I just receive P1 Wimax flyer at my area. And planning to subscribe. However, I heard that wireless broadband performance is not stable. Is that true?
about 12 months ago
Wiggy is USB type, whereas wimax Desktop type is fixed modem type that you can put at home.
Wiggy is for individual because it is USB, but you cannot go online with family members while you are using.
You can bring it out to public because it looks great and portable.
DS230 (Desktop Type) is for home use which you can share your connection with family and friends while you are connected online.
You can bring from house to house because there is no phone line attached.

@Penang Wimax Admin
there is a limit of your broadband service , right? 5g per month is not enough. Let say my usage exceeded 5g, mean that I can’t online anymore?
about 12 months ago
The Fair Usage Policy is not to limit you, it is to prevent others for using your bandwidth.
P1 make it clear to everyone, whereas do you see other provider put up the FUP (Fair Usage Policy) in their flyer.
Even if you exceed 5G, P1 will only slow down your speed to 100k, not blocking you.
You can always request a demo from us to see whether you are satisfied with the speed before sign up.

Faizul;
If you were to buy the modem, the modem will cost you RM 999 I believe.
You need to drop by at P1 PitStop at Queensbay there to double check.
Currently, there is one wimax service provider which is P1.
Even if you buy the modem, it is not usable.
Because Celcom, Maxis and Digi are 3g and 3.5g technology, not 4G.
Wimax is 4G.

the wimax home lite fair usage is only 5GB.if i use morethan that how much speed will it cut down?half?include watching movie online?
what difference is the modem with wifi and without wifi?being a stduent which are most suitable package?
about 10 months ago
Hi Jeff..
First off, you are asking about the speed reduction.. what we can say is that if you exceed 5GB your speed will be cut down to about half of 400kbps…
and if you are watching movies online your 5GB is ticking according to the data being download to your pc for you to view your movie..
Now about modems you need to know is that Modem with WIFI means you can share your line with your Friends who might come hang out at your place..
but as for the modem without WIFI, it is 1 to 1… However, you still can share your line thru a wireless router…
Well to be honest Jeff, we have personally seen students signing up for 3 types of packages.. RM49, WIGGY69 & RM99 ( RM49=HOME LITE/WIGGY 69/HOME PLUS)
